About

Nancy Ellington – Founder

 

Nancy has 15+ years of in-house experience in human resources, specializing in compensation and benefits. In addition, she has more than 10 years’ experience in Finance and understands the significant financial impact that compensation and benefit programs have on the business. Her experience includes both public and private sectors in a mix of small, mid-sized, and Fortune 100 companies. She knows the entire process from end to end, setting herself apart from many other consultants.

 

Nancy has developed a number of innovative approaches to compensation including market-leading remuneration strategies, forward-looking compensation summaries, and proactive engagement/retention plans. She’s delivered presentations to all levels of management including C-Suite Executives and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.

 

She holds certifications from WorldatWork that include: Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP). Nancy has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.

 

In her free time, Nancy enjoys wine tasting and scuba diving.

Stephen Epling

 

Stephen joined the Compass Total Reward’s team with expertise in executive compensation, broad-based compensation, and sales compensation. He has worked with clients primarily in health care, technology, and energy industries in private, publicly-traded, and non-profit organizations.  Stephen is a member of WorldatWork, the Rocky Mountain Total Rewards Association, Silicon Valley Compensation Association, and holds certifications from WorldatWork (Certified Compensation Professional and Global Remuneration Professional).

 

Stephen’s professional experience also includes compensation consulting roles with Towers Watson and Mercer. Stephen’s work focuses on helping clients design pay and benefits programs that support a company’s business strategy and drive employee engagement. He has helped clients design, administer, and measure the effectiveness of company-wide HR programs.

  • Executive market analyses and organizational leveling
  • Special retention programs
  • Salary administration, including base salary structures, merit pay, and step rate increases

 

Stephen loves to cook and is an avid beach volleyball player.

Linda Seuferer

 

Before joining Compass Total Rewards, LLC in November 2017, Linda had worked for almost 20 years in high-tech & bio technology sectors. She has expertise in broad-based compensation, salary planning, equity, job descriptions and survey administration.

 

Additionally, she has experience with designing, building, and implementing HRIS core systems and compensation modules including Workday & Success Factors. Linda is very passionate about assisting clients in navigating the ever-changing landscape in compensation.

She resides in San Jose, California where she enjoys playing with her 2 Old English Bull Dogs and designing quilts.
